Christian Business Network International Honors Roosevelt Roby With Angel Award
For Outstanding Christian Values in The Community

Los Angeles, CA - Christian Business Network International (CBNI) honored respected business leader Roosevelt Roby with an Angel Award at the Second Annual Christian Business Expo held in Los Angeles at the Convention Center on October 12, 2002.

The Award for “Angelic Endeavors and Support in the Community” was presented to Pastors, Ministers and business leaders for their outstanding work in promoting and exhibiting Christian principals in business.

Roosevelt Roby, honored for his commitment to fulfilling the destiny God has ordained for him, is President and CEO of the World Business Exchange Network (www.wbe.net), an on-line trade association dedicated to promoting US Exports and preparing individuals for a career in export trade.

“In 1987, God called upon me to reach out to minority populations, to educate them and lift them out of poverty through the vehicle of export trade,” said Roby.

As a faithful servant of the Lord, Roby has committed his time, talents and resources to building a business network that would span the globe. He partnered with officials from the US Department of Commerce to swap database information promoting trade information and opportunities with businesses abroad.

“Our purpose and focus is to inspire God’s people to go out and build His Kingdom. We can’t do that without economic empowerment. We found that it takes Education, Entrepreneurship and International Trade,” he said.

Minister Willie Blackwell and wife Irene Blackwell are the founders of CBNI. Their commitment is to serve the greater Christian Community through outreach programs including prison and street ministries, and helping minority women in business with training, guidance, support, finance and jobs.

“This award exemplifies what Roby has done in the community, and we are so grateful to be presenting him with this award. His commitment in helping minorities in the community is a blessing,” said Irene Blackwell.
