| "Trade Leaders Encourage
Free Trade in America"
Los Angeles, CA - There is no question that in
order for the economy to get back on top, trade will have to be an important
factor here in America. Our country must recognize that trading is not
only beneficial to the American consumer, but also to the small business
owner, and aspiring American entrepreneur. That is why local trade leaders
are making a grass-roots effort to recognize the top independent movers
and shakers in the international trade arena. Among those present at last
weeks meeting was Steve Chiang, President of U.S. Pacific Rim, an Asian-American
trade organization, and Roosevelt Roby, President and CEO of the World
Business Exchange Network www.wbe.net , an on-line trade association over
the Internet.
“It is important that we encourage everyone in
our communities to support trade, especially now that the war is over,”
said Roby. “Never before has mankind been able to reach people faster
than lightening all around the world. Due to the advent of the Internet
this has made it all possible,” he said.
WBE is the only on-line trade association that uses a
common-sense approach to training and educating members through its massive
data-base of buyers and sellers from around the world. Last year WBE reached
an agreement with U.S. China Trade Representatives to allow members of
his organization to began exporting products to China.
“The time is ripe for international trade. Now
that we can officially welcome China into a global, rules-based trading
system, it’s an opportune time for U.S. exporters to maximize penetration
into the Chinese marketplace,” said Roby.
Last year President Bush announced a new proclamation
that would finalize steps in normalizing U.S-China Trade relations. Trade
leaders from the Asian and Black communities began a series of discussions
on how to secure trading opportunities for both the Asian and Black American
entrepreneur.
“Local business owners do not have to travel to
foreign countries to get the business, they can set up trade relations
right here in America,” said Chiang. “They have the products,
the problem is, very few business owners have the capability of exporting
their products,” he said.
“We all have a responsibility to educate American
people on the vast opportunities that are readily available in the international
trade market. It’s time for the small business owner and American
entrepreneur to start thinking globally and outside the box,” said
Roby. ###
